Paper series

Colors, textures, shades of light in our environment create sensory experiences that inspire me. I like to work with paper, acrylic paint, and oil pastels to represent my emotions with vibrant colors and surprising textures.

Temptation in snow
Paper, oil pastel, and acrylic on canvas 12 x 12 in

Inspiration can take funny twists: I created my first black and white painting, after being intensely moved by vibrant fall colors in tree leaves one day. The reds, the oranges, the yellows, the browns, and the greens were exceptionally intense one morning and I felt compelled to paint... the result was a colorful black and white painting!
One never knows where inspiration may lead!
